Paramount’s Bob Marley musical has generated $101.1 million worldwide beating expectations after only 10 days, which includes $61.4 million in North America and $39.7 million from 59 international territories.

 Kingsley Ben-Adir leads “Bob Marley: One Love” as the Jamaican reggae legend, with Lashana Lynch co-starring as his wife, Rita Marley. The film is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green.

 The story follows the journey behind Bob Marley’s revolutionary music, from his African and European tour in the mid-1970s to the production of his signatory album Exodus.’

 “My family and I are honored with the amazing response to ‘Bob Marley: One Love’,” the Jamaican musician’s son Ziggy Marley said in a statement. “Like my father’s music, this movie is meant for the people and his message of peace, love, and unity is clearly connecting with audiences around the world.
