'Purgatory' is a script written by American writer Brian Schwab, which recently came in second place at this year's Slamdance Screenplay Competition for horror/thriller.

Teenager Charlie (Alina) is on her way to university in Dublin when she meets serial killer Roberts (Thomas) at her designated Airbnb. What follows is a seemingly endless cycle of torment that Charlie must find a way to break out from.

This is Natalie Kennedy's second feature film after the award winning psychological sci-fi drama 'Blank', starring Rachel Shelley, Heida Reed and Wayne Brady. 'Blank' was released in the UK on January 8th, 2024. Helming a more sinister movie this time, Kennedy's 'Purgatory' is set to be an edge of the seat ride, drawing inspiration from the likes of 'Hostel' and Hitchcock's classic 'Psycho'.

Also starring Rebecca-Clare Evans (Malpractice), Bhaskar Patel (Snowden), Pat Lally (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Millie Thompson, 'Purgatory' is being produced by Rebecca-Clare Evans for Caged Film Ltd, with executive producers Templeheart Films, Lyndon Baldock, Paul Sandhu and Mark Sandell, in association with KenMor Films. The film benefitting from the UK film tax credit incentive has gap finance and private equity investors.

Alina Allison is a relative newcomer who recently played the lead in British horror movie 'Punch', set in a UK seaside town, and Thomas Grant has just finished in London's West End playing the lead Albus Potter in the Sonia Friedman produced show Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.

Brian Schwab is a screenplay contest and film festival winning writer, taking home awards in comedy, thriller and horror categories. 'Purgatory' marks his first script to screen.
