Tees Valley International Film Festival

Some of the North-east's greatest actors are returning home this October to support the second year of The Tees International Film Festival.

Following the success of the festival's first event last year, the Tees Valley International Film Festival (TVIFF) is heading back to ARC Stockton Arts Centre this October with some of the region's top acting talent supporting the 4 day event including Mark Benton, Elizabeth Carling and Bill Fellows.

Darlington-born producer and festival director, Michael Luke, said: "The beating heart of any film festival is the submission of work by filmmakers from all over the world, the best of which are screened over the course of the event with the best in each category being awarded at the end of the festival. However, from the start we wanted the Tees Valley International Film Festival to go above and beyond that. The show is being held in the 100 capacity studio theatre at Arc in Stockton so it will be an open and intimate setting which will end with a Q&A which will allow the audience to really connect with Mark, Elizabeth and Bill. So if you want to know what Vic and Bob are like off screen or what working with Nicholas Lyndhurst is like or you'd like some inside info on the cast of Coronation Street, Mark, Elizabeth and Bill will be sure to tell you all about it".

Actor Bill Fellows said he is looking forward to the event, he said: "It will be fantastic to be back for the second Teesside Film Festival. It was such a thrill to play a role in the sell – out success of the first one last October. The buzz following the event last year was fantastic and I know that so many people are waiting with eager anticipation for it to unfold again. Both myself and Mark Benton received so many lovely messages following the first event and we have many more stories to tell that will hopefully inspire others. It is clear that this kind of high profile festival was needed in our area and long may it continue."

Robson Green will also be in attendance much to the region's delight. Arc will host "An Evening with Robson Green" which will see Mark Benton interview his good friend in front of a live audience for the headline event.

Mark Benton said: “It’ll be a real pleasure to work alongside Robson again. We’ve acted together many times over the past twenty years and have been firm friends from the start. So to be sharing a stage with Robson in my homeland will make the show even more special.”

There are a host of TVIFF events yet to be announced but currently on sale is "An Evening with Anthony Hutton and Pete Bennett''. Billed as the Godfathers of Reality TV, these two former winners of Big Brother are coming to the festival to tell fans about their experience in the BB house and what celebrity life is really like.

The festival will take place on October 25th to October 28th.
