Irish Film and Television Awards: Northern Irish talents nominated

With films and stars from both sides of the border being recognised on the worldwide stage at the likes of the Oscars this year, it is no surprise these names have been selected for the top award.

Northern Irish actors, writers and directors have been nominated across four major categories at this year's Irish Film and Television Awards.

They include the below talents:

  • Liam Neeson Lead Actor (Marlowe)
  • Derry Girls - Best Drama (The Agreement Extended Special)
  • Lisa McGee - Script Drama (Derry Girls: The Agreement Extended Special)
  • An Irish Goodbye - Best Live-Action Short Film

Irish Film and Television Academy CEO, Áine Moriarty said: "What an exciting time right now for the Irish screen industry. The 20th IFTA Awards will take place on Sunday the 7th of May 2023.
