The trailer looks fantastic and allows the audience to learn a little more about the plot of the film.  Dame Maggie Smith’s Violet Crawley reveals that she had a romantic dalliance back in the past and has inherited a French Villa.  She takes the family trip to the south of France. "Years ago, before you were born, I met a man. And now I've come into the possession of a villa in the South of France," the Countess says in the trailer. Not only that, there's also a pending royal visit to handle.

• Returning for the sequel are Jim Carter, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Joanne Froggatt, Harry Hadden-Paton, Robert James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, Tuppence Middleton, Lesley Nicol, Imelda Staunton and Penelope Wilton. Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, Dominic West and Jonathan Zaccaï have also joined the cast for the movie.

Julia Fellowes penned the script and ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ director Simon Curtis helmed the film.
